Lady Bug Remake

A personal remake of the classic arcade game Lady Bug, made with Godot 4 and C#.

When I was a kid, I really loved the original Lady Bug arcade game. I wanted to recreate that feeling in a modern game engine, while keeping the gameplay as faithful as possible to the original: the maze, the rotating gates, the collectibles, the enemies, the scoring system, the level transitions, and the general arcade rhythm.

A large part of the project was reverse engineering the original game behavior, especially player movement, enemy movement, rotating gates, collectibles, scoring, bonus vegetables, and level progression.

I also used AI heavily as a development assistant during the project. It helped with C# code generation, refactoring, documentation, reverse-engineering notes, and implementation ideas. This was not a one-shot generated game, but a long iterative process involving testing, comparison with the original arcade behavior, manual adjustments, and many refinements.

This first public release is a playable Windows version.
